10 Year Reunion

It was my 10-year high school reunion last Saturday. I confess, I was little of nervous about going (I was kind of a nerd in high school), but it turned out to be a lot of fun and it was great to catch up with some old friends.

I Think This Deserves Bragging Rights!

My brother WON the Park City Marathon on Saturday! He wasn't just first in his age-group (though his age-group usually has the winner), but the overall marathon winner! I couldn't be more excited if I won the Park City Marathon! :) Way to go Jason!

Many Blessings

In the last month or so, I've really been grateful for my many blessings and I don't think I share that gratitude enough. Too often, I think I wallow in self-pity--it's true that I kind of have a heavy load right now--but recently I've realized that nothing good comes from that and that my load doesn't even scratch the surface of what so many others go through.

I have a wonderful husband, who is extremely busy with life right now, but is always taking care of me. He takes so much upon himself to make my load easier. The difficulties of having an autistic son and twins has only brought us closer together.

I have the cutest baby girls in the whole wide world! The last ten months have kind of been a blur but both girls bring so much joy to our home everyday. I really believe that Heavenly Father blessed me with such perfect babies to help me cope when I have a rough day. Rather than adding to the chaos, they make it better.

I have the sweetest son ever! It's true that as I'm typing at this very moment I can hear him screaming over who knows what with one of his ABA instructors, but his tantrums are becoming less frequent. His ABA therapy is going so well! He is communicating so much better and letting more and more people into his life. He's allowing them to see the real Stockton that is so sweet and innocent. I think these next videos are good examples of what I'm talking about. We just can't wait for the day when he'll be this outgoing and verbal in public. It's also one more plug for the new iPhone and its ability to take decent videos on a split second notice - like when Stockton tells me he's going to read the books to me tonight!

Evans Family Rebellion

I'm feeling pretty exhausted after our Evans Family Rebellion, but it was a ton of fun, as usual. I'd like to boast that our family (the green t-shirts) made up for about 36% of those present, but even more amazing is that even though there were about 100+ people there, around 40 people (including kids) couldn't make it.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

With Stockton busy with his ABA therapy, I've been able to get a lot of "girl time" in this summer.

Mary and Tess had their first experience with the swings at the park. They loved them!

Out to lunch at Chilis. I think Mary and Tess look so grown up sitting at the table. I can't believe they are already 10 months old:
I was able to take my niece, Katelyn, on an "outing." We went shopping and bought matching necklaces (we're holding them in the picture) and the got ice-cream at Letherbys.
