Memorial Day

Unfortunately, Clark was on a business trip over Memorial Day, but fortunately, my brother was also spouseless so it turned out to be a fun day after all.  We decided to hike Doughnut Falls with the kids.  It was so much fun--I hadn't hiked to Doughnut Fall since I was a kid--and it was such a beautiful day.

Stockton probably had the most fun.  He was being silly in this picture.

After our hike we had a picnic in the park with my parents and grandma.

Stockton requested Tanner Park since it has the best climbing tree ever.

OCD

I shouldn't be so happy about this--its really not a good thing I suppose--but Stockton is a little OCD like his mom.  After the kids ride their bikes Stockton stays behind to make sure that the bikes are put back perfectly straight.  It makes me really happy.  He does take after me in a few ways!

Tired Little Girl

My girls are growing out of their naps.  I've actually been impressed with how long they've made it.  Stockton was done with naps right when he turned three.  Tess probably could have been done with naps when she turned three too, but I've made her go down anyway because Mary still needs a nap.

Well this last month I've let Tess stay up.  For the most part, she does really well.  She is really great at self-entertaining so I can still get a lot done during this time.   But, there have been a few days where she's just crashed, usually in odd places.  It's pretty cute.

One of Tess' many self-entertaining activities.  She was so proud of herself for getting all ten figures on her fingers by herself.

Stockton's First Piano Recital

Stockton has been playing the piano for almost a year now and he had his first recital a few weeks ago.  We (me and Stockton) practiced so hard.  He had his piece memorized and could play it perfectly.  He played the best he had ever played during the rehearsal.  He was ready!  During the performance . . . let's just say he had the opposite of stage fright.  It was somewhat disappointing but at the same time, looking back, he's kind of adorable.

Ready for Fun in the Sun

The Evans Family is sure excited for summer!  My kids want to spend all of their time outside and this mama couldn't be happier about that.  Hopefully it won't get too hot too fast.
