NCAA Games

Some of the first and second round games of the NCAA tournament were in Salt Lake this year so Clark was encouraged to buy tickets.  Unfortunately, we didn't get the best seats ever, but we were able to go and sit next to the COO of the NCAA on the front row for half of the game.  The COO's wife let me borrow her pass so we could access the VIP rooms.  Clark's pass wasn't good enough to get into these rooms--he needed me. :)

My dad and I went to the second round games together and had a really fun daddy-daughter date, complete with lunch at Z Tejas and shopping at City Creek.

Stockton Finally Lost His First Tooth

Mary, My Mother Hen

My baby is not a baby anymore.  April has been in town and Mary was very excited to hold baby Liesel.  Mary is so nurturing.  She'll make a great big sister someday.

Funny Kids

Mary and Tess found Stockton's "100 years-old" costume stuff the other day.  They were a lot more enthusiastic about dressing up.

The girls pretty much like paying dress-up with any sort of costume.  They got to my t-shirts and pretended they were in princess dresses.

My kids play really well together.  Mostly, they just act silly but they have a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, my girls are growing out of their naps.  Usually, when I let them skip it they do fine, but there are other days they crash.

Heaven

I went skiing for the first time in four years.  I love skiing so much and I use to go a lot in high school and college.  Now, not so much.  Jason and I went to Brighton a couple weeks ago and we had a perfect day.  When I got home I made a deal with Clark that he can go golfing as much as he wants in the summer if I can go skiing as much as I want in the winter.  We'll see if that works out.

Happy Valentine's Day

Nothing says Happy Valentine's Day like black permanent marker on my cabinets, granite and stainless refrigerator.  Honestly, you'd think a seven year-old would know better.  I actually handled the situation very well.  It was one of those moments where I was so angry that I had to put Stockton in another room so I wouldn't slap him.  By the time I googled how to remove permanent marker and got the mess cleaned up, I had calmed down and was decent mother.

Rubbing alcohol and toothpaste did the trick.  For the most part, there is no sign that anything ever happened with the exception of the fridge.  It lightened the stainless just a tad and now I have a permanent smiley face reminding me of this happy day.
