Cause and Effect

I still don't think that I can laugh about this situation just yet, but I was impressed by Stockton's understanding of it:

Stockton (talking to one of his ABA therapists): Asher has to sleep in the laundry room because we are getting new carpet upstairs because Mommy spilled paint on the old carpet so she had to go to the home store with Grandma.

Yes, it's true. I tripped over and spilled an entire can of white paint on my dark gray carpet upstairs. I don't think many home improvement messes could be worse than that!
