This past week Clark and I had the opportunity to go to Baltimore and Boston. Clark had business outside of Baltimore and a few places in Massachussetts, so we decided to make a holiday out of it, and luckily, Grandma Ginger was willing to watch Stockton while we were gone.
We first went to Baltimore for a quick visit and stayed with our friends Lisa and Cody. It was really fun hanging out with them. Lisa was my own personal tour guide and took me to see the sights of downtown Baltimore. I really enjoyed it because I had never been there before and because it was fun to catch up with Lisa. We were only in Baltimore a day before heading to Boston. We had such a fun time there as well, and the weather was perfect! Most days were between 75 and 80 degrees! We did the typical tourist things: visiting Lexington and Concord, visiting Salem and the witch museums, walking the Freedom Trail, and visiting Harvard and MIT. One thing we did that we especially liked was driving up to Sharon, Vermont to see the birthplace of Joseph Smith. It is about a two hour drive from Boston, and there isn't much to see in the town, but the area is so beautiful and the spirit is so strong there. It was a really neat experience. Since we were up in that direction we also stopped by Dartmouth College.

Fun at the Zoo
On Monday of this week we had a record high temperature of 83 degrees! Stockton and I decided to take advantage of the warm weather by going to the zoo with Laura and Talmage. We had a lot of fun, though we didn't see many of the animals because Stockton didn't want to leave the water-ball or the playground. We still had fun "at the zoo" nonetheless.

Patty-Cake
Stockton has always been a big fan of songs with actions. Usually, he likes me to do the actions for him, but he is now preferring to do the actions on his own. I think it is pretty adorable.

Seattle/Portland Trip . . . (and Forks)
This past week Clark and I went to Seattle to visit our good friends, Dave and Bianca. We also drove from there down to Portland on business for Clark. It was a really fun trip and I especially liked it because I have never been anywhere in the northwest. We also made one little sidetrip to the inconsequential town of Forks. Most of you have proably read or at least heard of Twilight, by Stephenie Meyer; well, Forks is the little town where the series takes place. If I'm being completely honest (even at risk of embarrassment), I am a little obsessed over the books. I figured since I was up in Seattle already, I might as well drive over to Forks and check it out. Luckily, I have a very agreeable husband who didn't mind making the three hour drive with me. Surprisingly, Forks was absolutely beautiful. The actual town isn't much to see (though I visited all the Twilight points of interest with all the other 13 year-old girls visiting Forks), but the area around Forks is awesome.
Here are a few pictures. I'd also like to note that this really was a Seattle trip to visit friends. Unfortunately, our camera broke just after we left Forks so I don't have any pictures of Seattle or Portland.
